It's hard to be kind in an unkind world...

Fear rules the minds, drives behaviors, and isolates people from one another. I am a therapist, but only human, so I am no exception to these psychological truths. So how will I handle it today after a frustrating past few days?
1) Guage my capacity - it's low. Very low window of tolerance today and the last few weeks.
2) Be kind to myself. It's not easy having a low window of tolerance - going to need more self care, extra kindness to myself, so I can replenish and give it back to others.
3) Prayer. My prayer today:
Dear Lord, let me radiate joy and kindness to those I encounter today, knowing that to embody it, will help cool the fires of frustration and beat back fear that lies to me. May this radiation of joy and kindness wrap a blanket of warmth around the souls of those in need.
4) Refrain. No words can combat my worries - anxiety management 101! Resiliency can be felt in restraint, in silence, in peace.
5) Keep going... It always gets better.
